Today we did a "mindfulness" activity so that we could focus on español. Then we reviewed preterit while you got stamps for your preterit assignment. You had a conversation with your neighbor in English about what they did over the weekend while you took notes. Then you wrote five sentences re-stating back to them in spanish what they did. Fuiste a la iglesia el domingo. Comiste los panqueques para el desayuno. I will give you stamps for those translated sentences.

Today we learned about the two past tense verbs in Spanish: Imperfect - ongoing action in the past and preterit completed action in the past. Your homework was on preterit. We also did an in-class activity where we listened to Un Rey y Un Diez and filled in the Clozeline. We will have verb quiz 5A next week with conjugations in the preterit.
I am here for A1 and A2 but gone for A3 and A4 so I decided to give you a few activities that you could work on alone. Here is a vocab list. You need to create commands from the verbs in order to translate your recipe from home. After translating your ingredients and your instructions from English to Spanish. Go to this website for a restaurant in Spain. Choose one item from each category of Menu: Platos para compartir, Ensaladas, Plato principales, Postres Caseros. Do your research on line and find out what that dish is in English and then tell me how it differs from something you would order at your favorite restaurant here in Utah.
We got stamps for the command worksheet. We took the comida vocab quiz from quizlet. You have 2 weeks to re-take. Verb quiz 4a is due this Friday. I will only be at school for first 2 periods tomorrow and will not be available after school due to meetings but will be around for the rest of the week before and after school. (oh except Thursday morning we have Faculty Meeting). So be sure to come in Wed before or after, Thursday after or Friday before or after school. We wrote 5 commands in class, 2 to a friend 2 to a group of friends and 1 to me. You were to complete the Por y Para worksheet for homework. You will be translating recipes from home on Tuesday.
Today we had a quiz on verbs 4A. We got stamps for doing the entire green packet. I gave you another small EASY green packet to do during class so that you wouldn't have homework. We have a quiz on L2U3Comida next Wednesday.
Today we had a chill day. You got stamps for last time and doing the 10 sentences in future. Then you got stamps for completing vocabulary section of the green food packet. I gave you time in class to finish the green packet and that is homework for next time. I also announced Verb Quiz 4A on Friday.
