Action Items:
Today we discussed the International Film Festival that you may choose to participate in. Here is the rubric and rules. In my class, I will bump up your grade 2% points at the end of the term if you fully participate and create a video to submit with a group of Spanish students. We then discussed the tool box that we have been building over the past month. 1. Food Vocabulary 2. Food Verbs and how to conjugate them 3. Like and Dislike Unit 4. Adjectives used to describe food 5. Forming questions 6. Forming longer sentences. 7.*Compare and Contrast 8.*Cultural Differences Then we did another activity with the food pictures. We rotated around and practices taking one of the pictures like the onions (las cebollas). One student would ask "Te gustan las cebollas?" The other would respond with one of three options:
You could also write a sentence like: Odio los guisantes porque no me gusta la textura. Or...No me gustan las zanahorias cuando están cocinados. We are finally taking all of our skill sets to communicate our likes and dislikes regarding food in the Spanish language. The IPA is in about another month. We will continue to hone in on our necessary skills to be more proficient in these abilities as it regards to Interpreting (Reading or Listening), Speaking and Writing.
